Kindergarten: 1 to 10 ratio (1 teacher for every 10 children)

Going to Kindergarten is an important step for your child. It will help them learn skills that they will build on throughout their life. In our Kindergarten, children grow socially and emotionally. They ability to think, use and recognize language and their fine and gross motor skills will be developed through play, art, dance, music, movement and interacting with others. Most importantly, all children will be learning to become effective learners as they develop and extend their communication skills, build their self-confidence, learn to be creative, and develop skills that assist them with reading, writing (manuscript and cursive), mathematics, science and social studies. Kindergarten students also learn Bible using Bible stories, puzzles and weekly memory verses.

Like Pre-K, Kindergarten students wear uniforms which includes a DCA uniform shirt and khaki, black or dark blue pants. In addition, the Kindergarten children go on field trips on the DCA purple buses.

Our Kindergarten program follows the DeKalb County School Schedule.
