Q: What age children do you provide care for?

A: Six weeks through Kindergarten and After School for Kindergarten-5th Grade students.

Q: Do you offer part-time care?

A: All of our preschool age children (6 weeks-Kindergarten) are full time only.

Q: What if I want my child to attend part time?

A: You can bring your children for part-time hours, however; it is the same cost as full time.  We do require that all of of our preschool children attend from at least 9:00am-3:00pm and that our Pre-K and Kindergarten students be present from 8:00am-2:30pm.

Q: Does the tuition cost include lunch?

A: Yes, we serve breakfast, lunch, and two snacks daily

Q: Can I bring my child’s food?

A: We only allow outside food if the child has an allergy or diet restriction and the outside food can only be to sub the item on the menu that is being replaced (i.e. vegetarian children can have a protein substitute brought from home)

Q: Are there any additional fees?

A: We do charge a yearly Supply Fee every September which covers some of the children’s consumable supplies. In addition, our potty trained 3 and 4 year olds are charged a monthly Activity Fee from September-May of each year for our extracurricular activities including karate, playball, dance, golf, and gymnastics.

Q: Do you charge a Registration Fee?

A: There is a one-time Registration Fee of $135 charged for each family.

Q: What schools do you pick up from for After Care?

A: Dunwoody Elementary, Vanderlyn Elementary, Austin Elementary, Crossroads Christian Academy, Chesnut Charter School, Kingsley Elementary, Atlanta North School, Brookhaven Innovation Academy, Kittridge Academy, Montgomery Elementary.

Q: Do you run state ratios?

A: No, we run much lower than state ratios. We run NAEYC or lower ratios in all of our programs.

Q: Do you have a high staff turnover rate?

A: The childcare industry in general has a high turnover rate but at DCA, our staff turnover rate is much lower than the norm. This is thanks to our competitive wages, generous leave policy, health benefits, and a 401k program with a company match.

Q: Do you have to be of Christian faith to attend DCA?

A: No, we welcome all religions and cultures here at Dunwoody Christian Academy but we are a Christian school and are not ashamed of it. We have chapel once a week for all of our students where the children dance to Christian songs and hear a short bible lesson. Our students also have access to Christian books in their classrooms and the students are exposed to bible verses each week.
