Dunwoody Christian Academy has a renowned After School Program designed to provide academic enrichment, mentoring, tutoring (optional), physical activity, as well as social and character skill building in a supervised setting from the close of the school day until 6:30 p.m. This program offers parents an enrichment opportunity for children who need a safe and secure setting after regular school hours with a low teacher/student ratio of 1:10, which is much lower than most after school programs. Our trained mentors work with children in an environment in dedicated classrooms with each grouping separated by age and gender. To achieve consistency and familiarity, mentors are assigned to specific classrooms and work daily with the same group of children. In addition to assisting with homework assignments, the After School Program offers optional extracurricular activities. These activities can fluctuate based on demand and enrollment. Our extracurricular activities offerings may include: Hip Hop/Ballet, Tutoring, Art Classes, Spanish, Basketball, Golf Dojo Karate, Hip Hop/Jazz, Gymnastics, and Bricks 4 Kids.

“My son has been going to DCA since he was 5 months old. He loves all the teachers that have cared for him. All the staff and teachers at DCA truly love and care about every kid. And also, they go out of their way to plan so many interesting activities and field trips, like fun day at Puppetry Art and visiting the Coca Cola museum. They have a big outdoor playground and a large indoor rock house.
Another great thing about DCA is that it has first grade. This is really beneficial when your kids age are around the cut-off point and don’t want to repeat kindergarten."
